Day 3: October 17, 1962
Kennedy decides to follow his schedule to maintain the secrecy of the fact that he knew about the missiles in Cuba and flies to Conneticut for a campaign appearence. The joint chiefs continue to argue for an airstrike and another U-2 flight discover IRBMs ( Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles ) and SS-5 nuclear missiles in Cuba. these missiles could hit all of the continental U.S. with the exceptions of Washington and Oregon. While this is all going on, 1000 marines are docked because of huricanes in the Carribian on thier way to do a special practice invasion mission of a small island: operation "ORTSAC", Castro spelled backwards.
